Don’t be deceived by appearances – a humble game of bowls is still capable of getting your heart pumping ! Just what the Doctor ordered. Lawn bowls is a low-impact, therapeutic exercise that can improve fitness, co-ordination and confidence.
Health professionals recommend playing bowls, particularly for older people, as it provides a number of health benefits, including;

Lawn bowls is played for the challenge and competition, personal enjoyment, activity, the pleasure of spending time outdoors (and indoors) and for social interaction.
It doesn’t take long to grasp the basics of the game, it is a game for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. We can let you try for free and offer equipment loans and expert tuition. We have two large car parks and local bus services 119, 405 and 455 run past the Club.
We also have thriving social section which offers theatre trips, outings, quizzes, bingo, dances and much more.
