Gentlemen
Until we move down from tier 2 into tier 1 there is nothing to report, once there is a movement down, we will have a meeting to discuss a way forward for what will be left of the 2020/21 indoor season. Wishing all members a very happy
Christmas and a healthy and Covid free 2021

(Men’s Captain)
Ladies
Oh what a welcome relief it was for our Club to be able to reopen on Wednesday December 2nd for Bowling and to see friendly faces for a catch up chat, albeit with restrictions and the Restaurant open for business. Sadly we aren’t able to have the proposed Friday drives yet…or the special Xmas Drive that was planned, but we look forward to some lifting of these restrictions in the New Year when we hopefully will be able to return to a new ‘normality’
It only remains for me to wish every Club Member a Peaceful and Happy Xmas and a Healthy New Year – keep safe –
and remember – Hands – Face – Space
Best wishes

CHRISTMAS FRUITCAKE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1 cup water – 1 tblspn salt – 1 tspn baking powder – 2 cups dried fruit – 8 ozs mixed nuts
4 large eggs – 8 oz butter – 1 cup sugar – lemon juice – 1 BOTTLE OF WHISKY
METHOD
Sample the whisky to check for quality.
Take a large bowl, check the whisky to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour 1 level cup and drink, repeat this again.
Turn on the electric mixer, beat 2 oz butter into a large fluffy bowl, add 1 tspn sugar and beat again, check to make sure the whisky is still ok.
Cry another tup, turn off the mixerer. Break two bowls and add to the eggs then chuck in the dried fruit. Mix on the turner, if the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers pry it loose with a drewsciver, sample the whisky again to check fort tonsisticity.
Next sift two sups of calt or something, who cares. Check the whisky.
Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Spoon. of sugar or something, whatever you find.
Grease the oven, turn the cake tin to 350 degrees. Don’t forget to beat off the turner. Throw the bowl out of the window. Check the whisky again and go to bed.
Next day take 3 aspirins and go to Marks & Spencer and buy a fruit cake.

Terry White
You may now be aware we said goodbye to one of our most beloved members Terry White who passed away on 4th December 2020. Terry loved his bowling and will always be remembered by his friends at the Club.
We send our condolences to Greer and the family at this sad time.
We remember all our friends who have passed away this year and hope that 2021 will be a happier and more prosperous time for all of us.
God Bless.
